	WHS Students Chosen As FFA Foundation Ambassadors Kyle Carmack and Cheyanne Snead of the Willis FFA Chapter have been chosen as Texas FFA Foundation Ambassadors for the 85th annual Texas FFA State Convention set for July 8-12, 2013 in Dallas, Texas, at the Dallas Convention Center.
	Dual Credit Students Dual Credit Students need to order OFFICIAL transcripts now. One copy needs to be sent to WHS to the attention of Mrs. Scambray.
	School will be Closed on Memorial Day, May 27, 2013.

	Congratulations to Christina Dukes on Winning Scholarships Christina Dukes is the proud recipient of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo $18,000 Metropolitan Scholarship and the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation Scholarship for $16,000!
	Willis Road Warriors Make the News Willis Road Warriors raced through the streets of downtown Houston following clues.
	Scholar Athletes Honored WHS Senior, Julia Elmore took top honors in Girls Golf at the Mike Ogg All Montgomery County Scholar Athlete of the Year Awards Banquet on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Elmore has signed to play golf at Trinity University next year.
	WHS Senior Receives HLSR Opportunity Scholarship Willis, TX, May 1, 2013– WHS Senior Aurora Banda was selected as a winner of the $18,000 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Opportunity Scholarship. Banda is currently ranked in the top 10 of her class. Through participation in WHS Dual Credit program with Lone Star College, she will graduate with over 40 hours of college credit.

	Willis High School Music Department is Proud to Announce The Willis High School music department is proud to announce that our two bands and two choirs who participated in the UIL concert and sight-reading contest this week received unanimous superior ratings from all 12 concert judges. Additionally, the WHS Wind Ensemble received unanimous super ratings from all three sight-reading judges. UIL competition standards are among the highest in the country. Our student’s ability to unanimously meet those standards on the concert stage is a testament to the dedication and detailed focus that our students put forth everyday in our programs. We greatly appreciate the support of the Willis High School community.

All students will be held accountable for their behavior and will be subject to the disciplinary consequences outlined in the Code of Conduct.
