The Wildkat Invitational UIL Meet Results

The Literary Criticism team won 1st place overall, with senior Devon Elridge placing 2nd. The Spelling and Vocabulary and Journalism teams earned second place titles.

The writing events are where our individuals placed the highest. Senior Kat Trevino placed first in Reading Writing and junior Max Granger took home the fifth place ribbon.

In journalism, senior Jimmy Ener placed first in Headline and sixth in Editorial. Sophomore Unity LaRouche placed third in Headline Writing, and junior Kristina Lazzari placed sixth in Headline Writing.

The event is held each year in January to raise money for scholarships for students who compete in UIL. The tournament would not be possible without the volunteers who staffed the tournament: faculty, administration, UIL coaches, and NHS volunteers.

The team will compete February 21st at New Caney High School in preparation for the district meet in April.
